Over a sunken canoe
pass cumulus clouds
Hastening winds
chase their shadows
up the hills
So many meanings
in and out of sunlight
A pair of swallows
tear up
the sky
Over a sunken canoe
pass cumulus clouds
Hastening winds
chase their shadows
up the hills
So many meanings
in and out of sunlight
A pair of swallows
tear up
the sky
Cold moonlight,
Solemn grasshoppers,
A dog barks
At his own echo.
Ripples
Follow river tides
When hills collapse.
Bell chimes and a butterfly
The missing subject
A wildflower
Village on a flowing stream
A wretched fate.
Autumn breeze
And jasmine tea
Bird by bird
An evening leaves.
Ancestral farm
Children sort stones,
Good from evil
Red dragonfly
Drop a flower
Into fire
For another year.
Burning rivers
In one dark line.
A moth seeks the moon
Navigates the bulb
His obliviousness and my gloom.
I love the world
Like ice cold water
On summer days
Wind chimes
Send free
Their catch.
Lazy moonlight
Comforts
An early dawn.
